Maire d’Arras

Information

Biography
Mayor of Arras since 2011 and President of the Arras Urban Community since 2020, he is an elected official who is always keen to defend education and young people. He is also Vice-Chairman in charge of Education at the Association des Maires de France. A forerunner in educational continuity, it was when he set up France's first ‘maison des 1000 premiers jours’ that he realised the importance and place of parents in children's education, from an early age. As a local councillor, he is proud of his region and wants to see it evolve. It is in this sense that he is working as President of the Pas-de-Calais Mayors‘ Association and as Regional Councillor for the Hauts-de-France Region on the subject of Mobility, which is one of his priorities.
